So many articles start the same way this time of year.
“The work Christmas party has been and gone, the 25th passed swiftly and the start of a New Year has finally arrived. It’s the time of year when we are left looking at the past 12 months, and wondering if we have achieved all we set out to whilst quietly pondering the changes we will make to ensure a more productive year to come.”
The truth is, for most sectors of business the last 12 months have provided a real challenge. Clients are afraid to outlay cash in a time where economic uncertainty is rife. Business is slowly moving into a protective state to ensure it can ride out the next impending financial crisis. Internally we are retracting more and more into work silos and grasping at our own interests like our lives depend upon it. |
