What it takes to have a well established Employment Brand?
The Employment Brand is the image of the organisation as a “great place to work” as seen by current staff, potential staff, and other stakeholders such as clients and shareholders.

Employment Branding is about much more than recruitment. It assists organisations in dealing with critical human resource challenges including: critical skills shortages and the battle for talent, cultural fit of its workforce, and staff retention and engagement.

According to a survey in the Economist, 74% of companies believe Employment Branding leads to higher staff retention,

The Ultimate Job™ Campaign has been officially launched
The Ultimate Job™ Campaign was officially launched on Wednesday, 7th July. The Premier of Victoria gave the keynote address to an excited crowd and the distinguished panel of 11 celebrity judges including Mission Australia’s CEO, Toby Hall and Myer’s CEO, Bernie Brooks.

In his speech, the Hon. John Brumby drew attention to the efforts of the Victorian Government to create more jobs for Australians. “…(Victoria) is the job engine room of the nation, creating more than 113,000 jobs in the past 12 months (which is) almost half the full-time jobs created in Australia." he said.

Quizzed on what would be his Ultimate Job, the Premier replied - his own - “it is a pretty good job being Premier."

MC, Totti Goldsmith, humoured the audience and media with questions directed at the panel of judges on what their first jobs were. Unsurprisingly, most judges started in menial jobs from fruit picking to fish gutting before they went on to highly successful careers.

To be in the running as an employer for The Ultimate JobTM tag in your city, all you have to do is submit a real job (where you are looking for great talent) at www.theultimatejob.com.au.

At the end of the three month campaign period, the Celebrity Judges will shortlist the top 10 jobs of the city. The shortlisted employers will be asked to compile a 5 minute video about their role.

The public will then vote via text/SMS on their favourite job from the top 10 list.

The winning company of The Ultimate Job™ campaign for Melbourne will be announced at a gala evening. There also will be a winning employee (placed into The Ultimate Job™), who will be rewarded with a host of prizes including: a Myer Wardrobe and Fosters Grange Fridge filled with premium wines.
