Plan for succession or failure will succeed you
Succession planning systems are often cumbersome and not consistently applied within an organisation. A good succession planning system is easy to use. It is a non-bureaucratic, uncomplicated process; a unified approach ensuring consistency and maintaining objectivity across business units, organisational levels, and geographic areas.

Drake supports the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre
Drake is proud to announce a strategic partnership program that focuses on an issue close to our hearts: the well-being of children with physical disability and their continuing education.

The Cerebral Palsy Education Centre (CPEC) is acknowledged as a unique and successful specialist education service for children with cerebral palsy and their families, which began over 20 years ago and continues to develop and evolve.

Drake has joined CPEC’s efforts to raise awareness of their cause via the St George Melbourne Marathon coming up in October. CPEC is the official charity of the 2010 St George Melbourne Marathon Festival and have set a fundraising target of $500,000.

$500,000 will ensure that many more babies with cerebral palsy (brain injury) could come off the three year waiting list to attend the unique CPEC learning programs and become more physically independent, e.g. being able to stand, to step and to walk.

Drake has leveraged its corporate sponsorships to support CPEC and open the opportunity to market their cause at sporting venues, including the MCG and Melbourne’s newest complex AAMI Park. Drake also afforded CPEC the opportunity to raise over $4,000 in a volunteer fundraising day at a Melbourne Demons home game.

Drake is very excited about working closely with the CPEC team and after a recent visit to their facilities by Drake staff, we are even more excited about offering our ongoing support.

We urge you to visit CPEC’s website and get behind them by signing up to walk 4 km in the St. George Melbourne Marathon and joining others by setting up a fundraising page. Every dollar counts!
